T Kurtz is giving an introduction to working in soft pastel workshop.  For 2 hours each day, she will work with students to create a pastel from a photo she will provide.  T works on suede mat with soft pastel.  Guiding you through a composition using "color shape techniques", you will create an 8x10 on the surface she will provide.  With the lab fee, you will have access to the pastels she brings to supplement your own soft pastels.  Students are required to bring one pastel set from the approved list provided.  Spokane Art Supply carries Jack Richeson pastels and has the Landscape set on hand if any one needs to purchase it locally.  You can also find the approved pastels at Dakota Pastel.com.  Anyone who doesn't come with their own pastels, will be charged $50 to access the access the instructors set.  Additional supply list will be provided upon registration.
