Calling all Glenorchy artists! Get your entries in for the 2023 edition of the much-loved Glenorchy Open art exhibition.

Open to all artists who live, work, or have a strong connection to Glenorchy (see map), this exhibition celebrates the creativity of our community.

The exhibition features work by artists, emerging to established, working in any media including painting, drawing, printmedia, sculpture, installation, photography, ceramics, textiles, digital media and more!

Entries close: 5pm, Friday 3 November 2023

Artwork delivery: 9am-5pm, Tuesday 7 - Friday 10 November 2023

Exhibition opening: 5.30pm, Thursday 16 November 2023

Exhibition dates: Friday 17 November - Saturday 9 December 2023

If your artwork sells during the exhibition, the purchasers name and contact details will be passed onto you. It is your responsibility to arrange payment for the artwork. Moonah Arts Centre do not take a commission on artwork sales.

I understand that works on paper will be pinned unless I request otherwise

Can we photograph your artwork while on display at the Moonah Arts Centre and reproduce the image for the purpose of creating an online gallery of the exhibition, and to promote the Glenorchy Open exhibition?

What you need to know

1. You must be a resident of, work or practice in, or have a special connection to the Glenorchy City Municipality to enter.

2. Each artist can submit one artwork only.

3. All artworks must be prepared and ready for hanging and installation.

4. Artwork does not have to be for sale but if it is, the sale of your artwork is of your choice and responsibility. The staff of the Centre will happily facilitate contact with potential buyers.

5. Moonah Arts Centre takes no commission or handling fee on sales.

6. This exhibition does not provide artist fees or charges.

7. If there are any issues with the artwork (for example size, complexity etc) which require negotiation, the Visual Arts Officer will resolve these with you.

Important Dates

By 5pm, Friday 3 November	Complete online application form, or post or deliver completed paper application form to the Moonah Arts Centre
9am - 5pm, Tuesday 7 - Friday 10 November	Deliver artwork to Moonah Arts Centre clearly labelled with name of artist and title of work NOTE: If you are unable to deliver your artwork within these dates please contact the Visual Arts Officer to make alternative arrangements.
5.30pm, Thursday 16 November	Exhibition opening night
Friday 17 November - Saturday 9 December	Exhibition dates Gallery opening hours: Tues-Fri: 10am-5pm Sat: 10am-2pm
10am-5pm, Tuesday 12 - Wednesday 13 December	Collect your work from the Moonah Arts Centre

All artworks are insured to their full market or replacement value for the exhibition period, installation and deinstallation.

Please note: As the Moonah Arts Centre is a Community Arts facility and cannot restrict anyone from entry to our galleries for any reason, Moonah Arts Centre reserves the right to refuse to display work on the grounds that it may be unsuitable for people under 18 or potentially offensive.
