The SDA provides a fun and engaging dance program for kids. This program is designed for boys and girls, aged 3 and older.

SDA classes are a great introduction into the genres of ballet, tap and jazz dance and utilize the exclusive Stafford Dance Academy dance class curriculum.  Classes combine terminology, rhythm and age appropriate skills with props and fun and engaging themes. SDA dance class curriculum uses kid friendly music and is gender neutral to ensure that all dancers have fun! 

   

The 2023/2024 - School Year season classes are offered once a week starting the week of August 7th, 2023 and ending the week of May 13th, 2024.       

SDA classes will run alongside the Cobb County school calendar.    

There will be performance opportunities throughout the season. Performances are encouraged, but, not required for participation in dance classes.

Monday 10:30am - this is our 50 minute PRE-BALLET/TAP combo class. This class introduces dancers to dance by putting the fun in fundamentals! This class is designed for dancers aged 3-5 (although dancers aged 2.5years old can enroll if fully potty trained.) Dancers must be potty trained to participate. This class is offered at the Goddard School at Trickum Rd. 

 

Tuesday 4:30pm - this is our 50 minute PRE-BALLET/TAP combo class.  This class introduces dancers to dance by putting the fun in fundamentals! This class is designed for dancers aged 3-5. Dancers must be potty trained to participate.  This class is offered at the Canton Rd. studio location.     

 

Tuesday 5:30pm - This is an hour long ELEMENTARY 1 BALLET/TAP/JAZZ combo class. This is a fun and fast paced high energy class, that will alternate tap and jazz bi-weekly, with a consistent ballet training. This class is designed for dancers aged 5+. Dancers must be enrolled in kindergarten or older.  This class is offered at the Canton Rd. studio location. 

 

Monday 5:30pm - NEW THIS SEASON! This is a hour and fifteen minute long ELEMENTARY  2 BALLET/TAP/JAZZ combo class. This is a fun and fast paced high energy class, that will alternate tap and jazz bi-weekly, with a consistent ballet training. This class builds upon technique and skills taught in the Elementary 1 dance class.  This class is designed for dancers aged 8+. Dancers must have at least 2 years of prior dance experience, or be invited by Ms. Kim to enroll in this class.  This class is offered at the Canton Rd. studio location. 

 

Pre-Ballet/Tap class sizes are limited to 12 dancers. 

Elementary 1 & 2 class sizes are limited to 10 dancers.

Classes require 5 registered students to start.  Once classes fill up, a WAITLIST will be created, and additional classes will be created if necessary.      

 

Goddard classes will be held at the Goddard School at Trickum Rd. 

Studio classes are held at the Celebrity Ballroom Dance facility in Marietta, GA. 

 

FEES: 

There is a ONE TIME family registration fee of $30.   

TUITION: 

Pre-ballet/tap combo class:  $60 per dancer, per month 

Elementary 1 ballet/tap/jazz:  $60 per dancer, per month 

Elementary 2 ballet/tap/jazz:  $70 per dancer, per month

Registration fee and tuition for August classes are paid at the same time.  Invoices will be sent out once the classes have received the minimum amount of participants.  Invoices will be sent to the email address provided at registration. Class invoices will be sent by the first class day of each month and will be considered late if not received by the 15th and a $5 LATE FEE - PER DAY - will be added to the following month's invoice. Payment invoices will be sent via the SDA PayPal account.  Monthly tuition is NOT based off of the number of classes per month, as some months have 5 weeks.  This allows for us to follow the Cobb County school calendar and not have classes during holiday breaks. 

 

PERFORMANCE OPPORTUNITIES: 

The Winter Holiday Show and Spring Recital will be held locally and the participation cost will be determined by costume selection and incidentals.

We, the undersigned parents/guardians, upon signing this agreement do hereby acknowedge that the activities I have requested my child in my care to participate in may be stressful on the body and carry with them the risk of physical injury.  On behalf of my child as his/her parents and/or legal guardians, I assume the risk and agree that the Stafford Dance Academy shall not be liable in any way for injuries sustained or loss of property during attendance at the dance studio, any of it's related functions, as a participant or an observer on or off of the premises.  Student must be covered by their own family health insurance. 

 

We understand that Stafford Dance Academy from time to time, produces promotional material about it's program.  We understand that as a participant the above mentioned minor may be included in a video or photograph taken at the studio or performance venue.  We hereby grant to Stafford Dance Academy, it's successors, assignees, licenses, sponsors the exclusive right to photograph and/or video participants and further utilize participants name, face, likeness, voice and appearance as part of the program, and in advertising and promoting the program, without reservation or limitation.  This explicitly allows use in any social media campaign or posting, such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, or the like.  In granting this license, I understand that Stafford Dance Academy is under no obligation to exercise any of its rights, licenses or privileges herein granted by participant. 

 

I understand that tuition is due by the 15th of each month.  The tuition is based upon the total number of scheduled classes for the year, and not based upon the actual classes during any given month.  The tuition payments are evenly spread over the year and will remain the same, regardless of the number of scheduled classes during that month.  I understand the tuition is non-refundable and there is a $5 PER DAY late fee if not received by the 15th of each month.  If your account becomes more that 2 months delinquent, your student will not be permitted to attend further classes, register for holiday camps, or participate in performances, until the account is brought current.  Payments will be collected through invoice sent from the Studio PayPal account.
