The Artist agrees to the following:
1. The Right to Sell. In accordance with this agreement, the Artist grants the Blue Moose Art Gallery the exclusive right to sell the Art. The Artist agrees to deliver the Art to The Blue Moose Art Gallery on consignment. The Blue Moose Art Gallery agrees to devote its best efforts to sell the Merchandise. All pricing of the Merchandise is determined by the Artist.
2. Delivery and Removal of Art. This ART TENT SALE consignment Agreement will begin and end on Sunday, August 18, 2024. It is the responsibility of the Artist to ensure that the artwork is delivered and labeled by 9:00am on Sunday, August 18, 2024, and removed by end of day, Sunday, August 18, 2024. Art not removed from the Blue Moose Art Gallery by end of day on Sunday, August 18, 2024, will be donated to a non-profit organization. If you can't remove your art by the stated time, please designate a friend or family member to pick up your art. To avoid confusion, please inform the on-site events committee who your designee is.
3. Display. The Artist agrees to provide necessary display items for the Merchandise. Table space is at a premium so please bring your own table if you can. Some artists will share a 1/2 space on each table.
4. Proceeds of Sales. The Blue Moose Art Gallery will pay the Artist a portion of sale proceeds based on your agreed-upon gallery commission rate. The sale will go to the Artist, paid out on the 15th of the following month.
5. Damages. The Blue Moose Art Gallery is not responsible for lost or damaged art and agrees to devote its best efforts to ensure the safety of the Merchandise.
6. Marketing. The Blue Moose Art Gallery will promote the ART TENT SALE through various methods: Customer newsletter, social media, posters, community FB pages, in-gallery fliers, class students, and website. We encourage all artists to promote your participation in the TENT SALE via social media (FB/IG) to your customers, and your circle of friends and family.
7. Artist Actions-JotForms: All art for tent sale MUST have a jot form completed. Our goal is to keep this easy for you, and to ensure your art is sold for the price you want.
Use these guidelines:
A. Date of art submission by Jot form—This must be submitted no later than 5pm August 15, 2024 so that there is time to create and print bar codes.
B. No photos for tent sale are required on jot forms. Yay!
C. To account for various quantities and prices, artists can submit pieces that have the same price on one jot form, and different priced items on a separate jot form. The title for tent sale items should be sequential, and the title is all that is needed in description field, just copy your title and use it in the description field.
For example if Julie Grillo has 2 different types of art for the tent sale they would be named: “1TS10 Julie Grillo, 2TS20 Julie Grillo, etc”. (This code reads to us as 1 is the first art piece, TS for tent sale, 10 for $10 and the artist name Julie Grillo.) When completing the jot form list how many pieces you are bringing in for each title.
D. Art brought in for tent sale MUST be labeled by artist when brought in for tent sale and have the title of the piece as submitted on jot form with the price (for example, 1TS Julie Grillo $20, 2TS Julie Grillo $30).
E. If you want to take art from the gallery for the tent sale with a lower tent sale price you will need to complete a jot form with the price change by 5pm on August 15, 2024. If you then want to return art to the gallery the price will stay the tent sale price unless you complete another jot form with the higher/old cost.
8. Artist Actions-Day of Sale: If you’d like create tags which list the artwork’s original price, AND discounted price (shoppers love a bargain!) Bring your art to the gallery on Sunday, August 18th by 9:00am to set up your area. Artists must remain with their art from 10:00a-2:00p. If shoppers wish to haggle and/or negotiate price, it is 100% up to the artist to agree or disagree with the final price offered. All art must be removed no later than Sunday, August 18, 2023, by end of day, as the Gallery has no room to store the unsold art.
9.Artist Perks: All participating artists will receive a bandana to wear indicating that you're a Blue Moose artist who is participating in the ART TENT SALE. Light refreshments will be served. Lots of FUN will be had.
