An Evening With Friends Event Support
We are looking for volunteers to help support our annual event on September 29 held at the Renton Pavilion Center.
Please sign up below for your preferred role/s and shift/s.

Tutoring and Reading Buddies
Thank you so much for your interest in tutoring our youths. Please fill out the form below to get started.
Please note:
Tutors/Reading Buddies will be working with the same small group of youths throughout the school year. Typical commitment is 3 to 9 months of weekly visits.
Most tutoring sessions are requested Monday through Thursday between 3pm and 7pm for the school year. Summer hours vary based on youth's schedule, so more flexibility is ideal during this period.
Sessions may be held at our office (4436 Rainier Ave S Ste C, Seattle, WA 98118)) or any public setting that is convenient for your group. Youths must be accompanied by their mentors at all time.
Math and Reading are the most requested subjects for tutoring.

Friends of the Children Seattle values relationship building with our youth and recognizes that genuine connections are built on consistency. Will you be able to commit to 3 to 9 months of weekly visits with our youths?

Because our first priority is youth safety and protection, all volunteers who have consistent youth access will undergo an extensive background check that includes fingerprinting. This process may take 2 to 3 weeks. More information will be shared once we review your sign up form. Will you be able to commit to our background check process?
