Criteria

The Honor Award is the association’s highest honor recognizing the career of a member, with emphasis on service to the association that has enhanced the coaching profession and contributed to the game as a whole.
The following shall be the minimum criteria for the award:

1. The individual must have been a United Soccer Coaches member for at least 20 years;

2. The individual must have given meritorious service to the association and soccer;

3. The individual must have had involvement in one or more of the following categories: A.) Intercollegiate soccer; B.) Interscholastic soccer; C.) Youth soccer; D.) Professional soccer; E.) Soccer media; F.) Soccer administration.

4. United Soccer Coaches employees, defined as any individual eligible to receive a W-2 form from the association, will not be eligible to receive the Honor Award for a period of 24 months after relinquishing their position. Members of the Board of Directors will also not be eligible to receive the award until completion of their term.
