Art Call Submission Deadline: March 8th 2025 (11:59pm)
Group Exhibition Dates: April 18th 2025-April 1st 2026 The NAA invites all sculptors to submit works to be considered for the tenth year-long exhibit at the NAA Range Lights Sculpture Garden. At nearly 3,000 square feet, the Garden resides behind the historic Newburyport Art Association building at 65 Water St. Situated along the extremely popular Newburyport Rail Trail, it is seen and visited by hundreds of people every week. Each year, the sculptures delight and amaze all that are drawn to this beautiful community.

Call Detail
- Sculptors are invited to submit 1-3 pieces.
- There is no entry fee.
- This is an international, open call; NAA members and non-members may apply.
- The garden is open to the public 24/7, and sculptures must not be a public safety hazard. (Please note that it is not possible for NAA to monitor the garden at all times.)
- Sculptures must be resistant to New England weather and coastal conditions.
- While not required, the NAA welcomes interactive sculpture work. The garden is positioned along the Rail Trail and sees a number of enthusiastic and curious visitors of all ages and at all hours of the day.
- The NAA Curatorial Committee will jury submissions and supervise installation.
- Artists are responsible for installation and suitable bases if needed. All accepted works must be delivered to the NAA by the artist or their representative.
- A $50 stipend per sculpture will be provided to help offset installation expenses.
- NAA insurance coverage includes replacement value and liability from injury caused by a sculpture.
- All works must be available for purchase and the NAA will retain 40% commission on each sale. The selected works will be installed for approximately 11 months.
- Sold works will be removed at the end of the exhibit. Interested buyers will secure their purchase with a $500 non-refundable deposit.
- A maximum of three entries may be submitted below. It is required that you submit exactly two different images/views of each entry.
- Digital image submissions should be high resolution, but each file must be no more than 10 MB.
- Accepted file formats for image upload include: .jpg/.jpeg, .tif/.tiff, .png, .bmp
- Please include both the artist name and artwork title within each filename(s), such as: "First Last - Title of Artwork (side angle)".
- Once notified of acceptance in the exhibition, the artist will be sent a Loan Agreement, which will need to be signed and returned to the NAA upon acceptance.
- Retail price, replacement value, artist biography/resume, and any pertinent press or other information must be supplied by the sculptor upon acceptance into the exhibition.
- The NAA may use your submitted images for publicity and marketing purposes.
- The NAA reserves the right to decline any submission, or to remove a selected work, for any reason.
