    • What does the Board of Directors do?

Board members propel the mission, vision, and values of the MN Craft Brewers Guild. Members of the board should bring their perspective and experience to think strategically, provide input on important Guild initiatives, and make decisions that benefit all craft breweries and brewpubs in the state of Minnesota.

The Guild's board is not a working board, concerned with the daily operations of the Guild. Rather, they are a strategic leadership board. You can view our current Board here.

How does the Board of Directors represent Guild members?

The MN Craft Brewers Guild is made up of 165+ brewery and brewpub members throughout the state. Our Board of Directors is designed to represent various membership identifies, including production model, distribution model, location, and size. In 2021, Guild members voted to change our organizational bylaws to expand the Board of Directors to 9 members, and specify the importance of a diverse array of viewpoints represented on the Board of Directors.

      Requirements and Time Commitments

      • Attendance at monthly calls and between 3-5 in-person meetings is required.

    • Member Representation on the MNCBG Board

In 2021, members voted and approved a bylaws change that expanded our board to allow it to better reflect the diverse viewpoints and interests of our membership.

Since that time, our Board has identified various criteria that would help expand the representation and skills of our Board. These needed areas are listed below. Please select which attributes you'd bring to the Board if elected.

Because our Board is member-elected, nominees are not required to fulfill certain criteria, and we cannot guarantee each of these categories will be present on the Board at any time. But, these criteria will be included in the Board Election materials sent to members to assist with voting.
