Mission Ambassador Agreement

Become a Mission Ambassador and raise awareness with us today!
As a Mission Ambassador, you will agree to do the following:
- Spokesperson. Speak positively about the Association and our mission, and be prepared to answer basic questions.
- Open Doors. Help us grow our prospect list and connect us with people or businesses from your community.
- Fundraise. Raise funds to help us further our mission.
- Confidentiality. Maintain confidentiality at all times of any information you learn from the Association or representatives of the Association.
Upon becoming a Mission Ambassador, you will receive a toolkit filled with graphics, photos, brand guidelines, and more to help you promote our mission and tell our story.

Each week, you will receive an email with 1-2 suggested social media posts and a suggested email. We encourage you to share these on your social media pages and email them out to friends and family.

Terms and Conditions
Overview

The Mission Ambassador is a recognized personality and in a position of influence spreading awareness, encouraging others to join the fight against ALS, and connecting local staff with potential donors and sponsors.

The Mission Ambassador will typically utilize social media, email (if applicable), word-of-mouth, and other creative promotional tactics to spread the word about The ALS Association and our mission.

Payment

The Mission Ambassador is aware and acknowledges that at no time will payment be provided for being a Mission Ambassador. This is not a position of employment but is instead strictly volunteer.

Brand Use and Ownership

The Mission Ambassador will be provided branding materials and guidelines and promotional digital assets owned by The ALS Association. The Mission Ambassador agrees to not alter these materials in any way unless otherwise indicated that they may do so. The Mission Ambassador will not distribute these under the premise that they are the owner or creator.

Confidentiality and Non-Disclosure Agreement

I understand and agree that I must maintain and safeguard the confidentiality of any donor or patient information and other information I may obtain through my activities as a volunteer for The ALS Association. Confidential information includes data that identifies a patient/donor or their family; assessment forms, referral forms, and computer records; and information received verbally from the patient/donor.

I agree not to divulge, copy, publish, or otherwise make known to unauthorized persons or to the public any identifiable, personal information which is obtained in the course of my service as a volunteer. I understand that The ALS Association’s written authorization is required for me to disclose any such information, and that this authorization must be obtained with an official ALS Association release form.

I understand that The ALS Association may make available certain information regarding its operations, programs, departments, functions, and activities, including the very fact that an individual is served by The ALS Association. I understand that this information may be of substantial value and highly confidential, may not be known to the general public, is the subject of reasonable efforts to maintain its secrecy, constitutes the professional and trade secrets of The ALS Association, and is being provided and disclosed to me solely for use in connection with my volunteer work for The ALS Association. I agree to the Confidentiality and Non-Disclosure Agreement.

Rights and Obligations of the Parties

The Mission Ambassador accepts, declares, and undertakes the following provisions:
1. The Mission Ambassador has the unrestricted right and authority to perform the duties and use the deliverables that conform to this Agreement;
2. All duties and responsibilities of the Mission Ambassador is compliant with the applicable laws, rules, and regulations of the State agreed upon by the Mission Ambassador, to be performed in this Agreement;
3. The work of the Mission Ambassador shall not contain discrimination, defamatory, disparaging or offensive content to any product or business, or be involved in any pornographic or be contrary to any religious beliefs.
4. The Mission Ambassador is obliged to avoid any action that will damage the Association's reputation.
