Hello again! Thanks for reaching out about getting a touchup!
As you probably already know:
My work is designed to embrace the look of handpoke.
Many of my tattoos heal with a delicate, speckled/hand-drawn quality.
A variety of values, lineweights and textures is expected.
- Filled in areas should be full of texture and a vareity of values.
- Some lines may heal with breaks and dots, that's usually built in to the design.
However, I understand that:
Sometimes details or desired contrast can fall out when tattoos heal.
Your tattoo should not be too light. It should not be missing important information,
like the pupil of an eye or the distinction of fingers, for example.
If your tattoo needs a little more love, please reach out!
Necessary touchups (within the first year of healing your tattoo) are usually free.
Hand/finger touchups may require frequent touchups as they are more prone to wear and tear.
Touchups due to normal aging, wear and tear (over 1 year old) will require an hourly fee; I typically determine pricing case-by-case.
The very BEST way I can get an idea of what your tattoo needs
and how much time to block out for your touchup, is for you to:
- moisturize your tattoo, wait 5-10 minutes, then
- step out into natural (indirect) light, and please send me
- a few well-lit photos of your tattoo (PLEASE! Have someone else take the photo and have them focus on the tattoo itself, not your arm for example)
- try to avoid taking photos in shadow or in the direct sun/lamplight as it causes a glare.
