About

The Ballina Contemporary Art Market (BCAM) is an arts and cultural initiative developed by the Ballina Shire Council's Northern Rivers Community Gallery (NRCG) & Ignite Studios funded by NSW Government.

The event will deliver a one-day contemporary art market, activating the arts and cultural precinct of NRCG & Ignite Studios and surrounding heritage listed gardens with stalls and activities, providing creatives across the Northern Rivers region with an opportunity to sell and promote their work.

Who Can Apply?

We are seeking applications from individual artists, designers, makers, groups, galleries and/or arts and craft stallholders with a preference for original, handmade, local, independent, innovative, and creative artworks and products.
We strongly encourage applications from First Nations, LGBTQI+, emerging and local creatives and/or groups.
Applicants must have the ability to manage their own sales. BCAM will not take responsibility for any sales and or handle any monies on behalf of Stallholders.
Applicants must have their own Products and Public Liability Insurance to the value of $20 million, or be prepared to arrange coverage in time for the event. There are affordable one-day event policies available, please contact the BCAM Team to discuss if this is a barrier to participation.
Applicants must be 18 years of age to participate in this event. Anyone younger than 18 years wishing to apply may contact the BCAM Team to discuss as exceptions may apply at the discretion of the BCAM Team.
We will accept group applications and will accept one application per group. Applicants will nominate a single representative per application.
Applicants must be willing to abide by the BCAM Terms & Conditions of Participation.
