Application for H2A program

You need the following to proceed with the application.

1. Valid Passport with at least 4 clean/blank pages.

2. Valid identity document.

3. Valid Drivers Licence. (Code08,10,14 - Pickup or truck)

4. You need to complete this form in as much detail as possible.

5. Funds available for flight tickets, consular fees. (see info underneath)

6. Experience for the position that you apply for.

As from 12 May 2023, Non Immigrant Air Passengers will no longer need to show proof of being fully vaccinated.

You need to take note of the following before you continue with the application:

MANDATORY COSTS – CONSULATE RELATED FEES

CONSULATE FEES:   Total +/- R3995.00(Depending on the Consulate) – Directly payable to the Consulate when application for permits are done – this fee must be paid in order to submit your DS160 application and/or to book an appointment for the Consulate interview  - employer does reimburse you this fee.

Air Tickets: Roughly +/-R14000-00 – R35000.00 – Dependent on age season/period and destination   - In the case of H2A and H2B Permits (agricultural and technical permits) the employer will reimburse the plane tickets  - 50% halfway through the contract and the rest with completion of the contract – Euro Personnel will handle all flights.

NON-MANDATORY FEES

Medical: A Quotation regarding medical insurance will be provided, although it is not mandatory to take out medical insurance, the applicant is encouraged to do so. Nicolene Herholdt is currently appointed by Euro Personnel to assit with Medical Insurance and may be contacted on 074 133 3737 or nicolene@europersonnel.co.za

PROCEDURE

a) Complete this form in as much detail as possible. Upload copy of Passport and License and ensure form is signed.  – VERY IMPORTANT – NO PERSON WILL BE SENT TO THE USA ON A TEMPORARY PASSPORT – ONLY PERMANENT PASSPORTS WILL BE ACCEPTED.

b) This form will be provided to the USA employer – Kindly be patient as it may take up to 4 weeks before feedback is given – the employer has the final say with regards to acceptances.

c) If the employer is interested in the applicant, then the applicant will get an opportunity to contact the employer directly – all details regarding salary / accommodation / hours / meals comes directly from the employer – Euro Personnel is / does not get involved in any details regarding salary / accommodation / hours / meals or any regulations or demands which the employers implements. If the applicant and the employer are both satisfied the employer will then provide a “letter of employment” as well as the necessary contract.

d) Euro Personnel starts the process to apply for a permit and all Consulate fees are now directly payable to the Consulate (MRV FEE – ABSA) – Euro Personnel will confirm the Consulate appointment (If required) and provide all relevant documents to support the permit application.  It is important to remain in contact with Euro Personnel during this process.

e) You will be placed on a whatsapp group with the employer and all admin arrangements will be done with the supervision of the employer. (it is important to note that the application process and your response to request will remain part of the interview process and the employer will have the right to terminate service at anytime, should you not comply.

TAKE NOTE

1. To avoid any problems and confusion, Euro Personnel will be the only institution who handles flight bookings – PLEASE KEEP IN MIND THAT IT STAYS THE APPLICANTS RESPONSIBILITY TO MAKE SURE THAT ALL DETAILS ARE CORRECT – be sure to keep your plane ticket safe in case you need to change your return date at the end of the year – return date changes can be requested directly from the travel agent – details of the travel agent Jenny Booysen 082 684 9512

2. In the unfortunate event that the applicant / employer experiences any problems in the USA, then the applicant must contact Euro Personnel directly or the involved USA Agent – any problems must be sent in writing or per email and in English to Euro Personnel or the involved USA Agent.

3. Make sure to take with your DRIVERS LICENSE, PASSPORT, SOCIAL SECURITY CARD (if applicable), FLIGHT INVOICE with employers’ details, as well as the letter of employment when you travel to the USA.

4. Covid tests are no longer a requirement.

5. Applicant must discuss tax deductions directly with the employer.

6. Applicants with a criminal record must apply well in advance for police clearance – issuing of police clearance can take 3 – 4 months.

7. Dishonesty during the application process may result in criminal offence.
