Note: To be considered for each individual scholarship, you must meet the required eligibility criteria for each scholarship you select (see requirements below). In addition to filling out this form you must also, submit (upload) the appropriate required documentation by the deadline (February 1st) to be considered.

If you do not meet the selected scholarship(s) required eligibility criteria; you are missing required documentation; or you submit an incomplete application, your application will be automatically disqualified.

Elizabeth Griffin Legacy Scholarship Requirements & Criteria
Required Eligibility Criteria:
- United States Citizen
- Resident of the U.S.A. (50 states or District of Columbia)
- Currently, a senior in high school at the time of mailing or submitting this application
- Earned a cumulative 2.50 G.P.A or better on a 4.00 scale or 3.50 G.P.A on a 5.00 scale
- Accepted into a two- or four-year college or university in the U.S.A (50 States or District of Columbia)
- Enroll as a freshman and attend a two- or four-year college or university in the U.S.A (50 States or District of Columbia) for the Fall 2026 semester
- You are NOT an immediate family member of the Elizabeth Griffin Family; donor or sponsor of Elizabeth Griffin Legacy Scholarship; DACS Services L3C scholarship committee members; or DACS Services L3C employee. (see FAQ on Website for more)
Required Application Documentation
- Completed Leadership Scholarship Application
- Copy of the acceptance letter or transcripts from the educational institution the applicant plans to attend in the Fall 2026
- Official transcript with most current cumulative G.P.A
- Essay Requirement: Type a one- to two-page essay (Time New Roman, 12-point font, 250-500 word count, double spaced).
- Essay Prompt Background: Pursue God. Pursue Education. Serve Others.” Elizabeth Griffin lived these words. She marched with Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. for civil, human, and educational rights, not just for her family, but for all. Her legacy of faith, knowledge, and service continues through this scholarship, honoring students who lead with compassion, uplift others, and make a lasting impact on those in need.
- Esaay Prompt: In a personal statement, share how you have shown care not just in words, but through meaningful actions, especially for those who are often overlooked or less fortunate? What inspired you to take action? Tell us how have you balanced your own goals with the responsibility of looking out for others, in your school, your neighborhood, the community, or the world? Lastly, explain in what ways does your leadership reflect compassion, empathy, faith, and/or integrity? How will these values continue to guide you as a college student?

Scholarship Conditions
- DACS Services L3C Leadership Category Scholarship(s) may be used to cover the costs of tuition, fees, books, room and board, computers, health insurance, study abroad and other school related expenses. DACS Services L3C Leadership Category Scholarship(s) may not be used to cover non-education related expenses.
- Scholarship winner will be notified by April 30th and distributed by May 30th in the name of the recipient and College the recipient (winner) listed on the application. The scholarship recipient’s (winner’s) name, photo (submitted with the application), and other information will be posted on the DACS Services L3C website and social media platforms no later than June 30th.
- DACS Services L3C requires all scholarship winners email a "Thank You" video or audio recording to info@DACSL3C.com no later than June 30th. Your thank you correspondence will be shared with sponsors and on DACS Services L3C media platforms.
Submission Instructions & Deadline
- Completed electronic application and documentation must be submitted by February 1st by 11:59 pm EST.
- If you are having difficulties with the electronic applications a completed paper application with documentations can be submitted by USPS MAIL. It is important to note, incomplete applications or envelops with missing documentations will not be considered. Mailed packet must include all required materials in one single large envelope (9x12), postmarked by February 1.
