KPhA Government Affairs Committee
This 8 to 20 member committee is charged with reviewing, developing, and recommending legislation and political positions to the KPhA Board of Directors. The GAC reviews the current political environment, as well as needs of pharmacies in the state, and works to determine legislative priorities for the association. Previous work of the committee has included PBM licensure, point of care test & treat negotiations, immunization protocols, medication administration, and more.
This committee meets via Zoom for 30-60 minutes quarterly on Thursday evenings when the legislature is not in session and approximately every other week on Thursday evenings during session (Jan-May). Appointments are for a 2 year term that follows the Kansas legislative session. Must be a KPhA member to serve on this committee.
