Bringing a new dog or puppy home will require training and patience. Dogs just want to please you however they need to learn how to do this. Would you be willing to get a dog trainer in, go to puppy school or do the training yourself? If so what trainer, puppy school or training method would you use?

Have you ever rehomed or surrendered an animal before? If so please explain situation?

Adopting a pet is a big responsibility!! They are for the animals whole lifetime! Have you really thought about this and are you prepared to love and care for this animal for the whole of its lifetime? (this could mean 15-20 yrs)

If there is a time when you can't look after this animal (due to you own health), will agree to contact Dougie's Legacy Animal Rescue for help to rehome them?

We require a meet and greet in person. Are you willing to travel to Wagga Wagga for a meet and greet with your entire family?

We will require photos of where the dog/cat would sleep, spend most of their time and of your yard, fencing and the cat enclosure if you have one. The more photos or videos the better!!! Please send these to our Facebook messenger page (in our inbox) or to our email, stating the name your application is under and the animal you wish to adopt. please note that both of these ways are secure and that we ask for these photos as a way in which we can see where the animal would live their best life and that the photos you supply will never be used or replicated in any way!! I agree to allow a representative from Dougie's Legacy Animal Rescue to contact my vet for a reference, my realestate and if needed and also agree to allowing a home visit prior to adopting an animal if needed.

I agree that all animals adopted are speyed/castrated, vaccinated and microchiped

I understand that completing this application does not guarantee I will be adopting this animal, and that the application is a tool to help Dougie's Legacy Animal Rescue determine if this animal and my family are a good fit for each other. I acknowledge that all information provided on this form is true and correct. I understand that any misrepresentations may result in my not being approved and/or removal of the adopted animal from my possession. I also certify that I have never been convicted of animal cruelty or neglect.
