Attendance Policy

Attendance and participation in therapy are essential for therapeutic success.

Each scheduled appointment time is reserved especially for you.
If you need to cancel, please inform us 24 hours in advance.
We understand that emergencies occur. If you or your child has an emergency situation and/or becomes sick and you cannot call within 24 hours, please call/text no later than 8:00 AM the day of the appointment.

Insurance companies do not pay for missed appointments. Clients who cancel after 8:00 AM the day of the appointment or NO SHOW will be given the opportunity to schedule a makeup appointment within 1 WEEK. If you are unable to schedule a makeup, cancel the makeup, or no show for the makeup, you will be charged a $45 fee per discipline missed.
No show and late cancellation fees must be paid in full prior to the client receiving further therapy service.
If the parent cancels an appointment with 24 hour notice (or before 8:00 AM day of appointment due to illness or emergency), there is no penalty for this; however, every attempt will still be made to reschedule the missed appointment by your therapist.
PLEASE NOTE: 75% monthly attendance rate must be maintained in order to ensure your standing appointment.
- If your standing appointment time is cancelled, you will be placed on an on-call list and may text/call your therapist on a weekly basis to schedule appointments week by week.
Clients arriving 10 minutes late for a speech therapy appointment or 15 minutes late for an OT/PT appointment may not be able to be seen. This will be considered a missed appointment and the $45 late cancel/no show will be charged.
If the family is going on vacation for MORE THAN 2 WEEKS, a child’s standing appointment time is NOT guaranteed. Make-ups are based on therapist’s availability.
If the therapist has to cancel due to vacation or illness and you want a makeup session, every attempt will be made to schedule one.

If you miss /are late for 3 [consecutive] scheduled appointments or frequently cancel (50% of scheduled appointments per month) the office reserves the right to remove the client from his/her standing schedule. Future appointments may be scheduled with your therapist on a week by week basis. Additionally, if you arrive late for a scheduled appointment, the session will still end at the scheduled time or may be cancelled.
