  • EV Home Charging Survey

    This is a step-by-step questionnaire where you can fill in the information we require to provide a quotation for the installation of your EV charger.  Please attach all files required.

  • This survey is conducted solely for the purpose of assessing the suitability of your property to install an EV Charger. While every effort is made to gather as much information as possible, certain components may not be readily visible or accessible during the survey process and these may cause an issue later in the installation, or operation of the charge point.  This survey does not guarantee the absence of any concealed defects or hazards, and should not be construed as a comprehensive assessment of all potential risks associated with the property

     

    The homeowner is soley responsible for disclosing all pertinent information related to the property, including but not limited to the presence of electrical cabling, gas or oil piping along the suggested cable route. Failure to disclose such information and advance agreement with the installer on-site on measures that will be taken to avoid any danger is the responsibility of the homeowner.

     

    It is recommended that homeowners disclose all relevant information and seek appropriate professional advice when necessary.

    We`ll need some photos and sketches of the inside and outside of your home so that we can plan your installation.  Please read questions below, take pictures or draw a sketch and take a picture of the sketch. Please note: Your EV home charger needs to be connected to the consumer unit (internal distribution board) inside the home according to Safe Electric Ireland regulation for EV Home Charger installations.

  • 4) Please take a photo to show us where you`d like your isolator switch (as shown below) in relation to your charge point to be installed (no more than 2m apart)

  • 5) Most EV charger have smart functionality, meaning they must be connected to the internet. Whilst standing in the preferred location of your charger, do you have a strong Wi-Fi signal?*
  • 6) Whilst standing at the consumer unit (distribution board), do you have a strong Wi-Fi signal?*
  • Whilst standing at the preferred location of your charger do you have a strong mobile internet (4G) signal?*

  • 17)  Can you find the earth bonding (a green wire) attached to your water supply? This can be found in your hot press or under your kitchen sink. Please provide a photo.

  • 19)  Can the cable from your internal consumer unit (internal distribution board) to your charger be run continuously along a solid internal or external wall?*
