What is PACES?
PACES is a virtual program developed to improve self-management in adults with epilepsy.
How does PACES work?
PACES consists of 8 weekly meetings of about 75 minutes. Meetings are conducted via Zoom.
PACES provides a wide range of topics that are important to people with epilepsy:
- Epilepsy and other medical issues
- Stress and depression
- Memory and cognition
- Community participation on a budget
- Managing care
- Assertive communication
- Improving well-being
At each meeting, participants are encouraged to be engaged by taking notes, asking questions, and sharing personal experiences.
Each week, participants set a personal, achievable goal for the following week to improve how they deal with the challenges of living well with epilepsy.
