JSJR Slack Signup
  • Overview:

Membership in the Slack community is for staff members at Roundtable affiliates; participation is optional.

You can join simply to listen and read others’ experiences. And, we encourage you to ask your questions, answer other people’s questions, share resources, and celebrate with each other. We want this community to be full of helpful information from which everyone can benefit.

Roundtable staff are the arbiters of who is added to and removed from the community. The Roundtable Norms guide this community, as they do all of the Roundtable’s work.

  • By participating in the Roundtable’s Slack community, you are agreeing to our Community Norms:

    Please DO:

    • Treat every person on the list with respect, as befits a colleague.
    • Make space for a diversity of opinions, backgrounds, and experiences. Not all staff at our affiliates think or feel alike, and we welcome that.
    • Practice anavah (humility), as described by the phrase, “No more than my place, no less than my space.” Monitor your own level of posting and practice an appropriate level of participation so that the workspace is not dominated by a small number of users.
    • Create a profile and update it if you change roles or organizations.
If someone asks a question related to the Network Assembly and you think you know the answer, please chime in!

    Please DON'T:

    • Don’t harass or attack anyone, or use offensive language. Abusive, discriminatory, or hateful posts will be deleted at the discretion of Roundtable staff.
    • Don’t use this as a distribution list to broadcast your own writing or fundraising appeals regularly. We’re happy for you to occasionally share a piece you are especially proud of.
    • Don’t share personal content from others without the explicit permission of the person who wrote it.
    • If you see any violations of these guidelines, contact a Roundtable staff member directly.

The Roundtable reserves the right to remove members at any time, including but not limited to individuals who violate the above agreed upon guidelines or who are no longer eligible to be part of the Slack community.
