The following must be submitted before an application can be considered for admission:
- Complete and submit an Application for Admission
- Request original transcripts from all previous higher education institutions at which credit was earned and which corroborates completion of master's degree with a 3.0 or higher GPA from a regionally accredited college or university. Transcripts must be sent directly to Graduate and Continuing Studies from the previous higher education institution to be considered official
- For international participants from non-English-speaker nations: submit Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) scores.
- Minimum acceptable scores:
- Written test - 550
- Computer-based - 213
- Internet TOEFL - 79

NOTE: Application is made to Muskingum University Graduate and Continuing Studies. Admission decisions are made by the Vice President for Graduate and Continuing Studies upon recommendation from the Executive Director of Applied Leadership. While previous academic achievement suggests likelihood of success in graduate studies, Muskingum University recognizes that individual circumstances and experiences may mitigate usual standards of achievement. Students who feel that the admissions criteria do not meet accurately measure their own capability, performance, and commitment to their chosen profession may submit additional or alternative evidence of their achievement and potential. The Program Director will take additional or alternative evidence into account before making a recommendation concerning admission to the Vice President for Graduate and continuing Studies.
A maximum of nine credits with a grade of B or above may be transferred from graduate programs at other regionally accredited colleges and universities at the discretion of the Program Director. Applications for admission to the program are accepted on a rolling basis. Decisions are made when a candidate's admission materials are complete.
