PATRICIA (Patty) PRICE'S FUNDEMENTALs OF STAGE MANAGEMENT
This one-day workshop provides a thorough overview of crucial duties during rehearsals and the show's run, highlighting how these roles evolve throughout a production. It encompasses pre-show preparations like script reading, blocking, costume fittings, along with maintaining character consistency, following director's notes, and ensuring smooth scene transitions during the show. Combining theory and practice, this course is a must-have for theater production enthusiasts.
Instructor Bio: Patty has stage managed shows for the Mendocino Theatre Company since 2011. and is now MTC’s senior stage manager. She has been the stage manager for more than 20 shows, including the longest running show in MTC’s history, The Cemetery Club 2019-2021.
Patty’s first theatre job was as a Dresser and Backstage hand for La Cage Aux Folles. Patty was the Stage Manager for Rent, Next to Normal, & Set Designer for Once Upon a Mattress & Mamma Mia both for Gloriana Musical Theater. She is also a Producer/Stage Manager for local burlesque troupe Les Filles Rouge &house manager at Crown Hall for the Mendocino Film Festival."
