Volunteer Application Form
As a Houston Science Festival volunteer you will be asked to fulfill a range of duties before and during the festival, including helping out at various activities, supporting registration, facilitating surveys, as well as providing general duties at live events. Houston Science Festival volunteers will receive a festival t-shirt. Learn more about our volunteer roles.

In accordance with state laws, volunteers must be at least 16 years or older. If under 16, volunteers must be accompanied by a parent or guardian for Houston Science Festival activities. All volunteers under 18 must have a signed permission of a parent or guardian provided in this form.

This form must be completed by an adult or a parent/guardian for Youth Ambassadors.

Youth Ambassador Information
All Ambassadors are required to have an adult mentor to support and guide their work and be in touch with Houston Science Festival staff as needed. Your mentor can be your parent/guardian or a trusted adult chosen by your parents. Volunteers under 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian for Houston Science Festival activities and be available to serve during the morning and afternoon sessions of the festival, no more than 8 hours in one day.
