Sustainability Award

Summary

This Award recognises the importance of building sustainability into a business to support its long term future. 

Judges will be looking for a clear strategy to make your business more sustainable and the changes, however big or small, you have already put in place.

Entrants will go through a rigorous judging process to find the winner and runner-up who will be announced at the glittering NFAN Awards Gala Dinner in January 2024. 

As well as being able to display the winner's certificate, taking the accolade provides a wealth of PR and press opportunities for the business. 

 Judging

Judges will be looking for the business which can demonstrate a clear strategy for building sustainability into their ongoing and future plans.

Outline your motivation for making these changes and the impact you expect to see, or are already seeing, on your business.  

Entry submissions will be judged by a panel including an industry expert and former category winners. 

Initial judging will review submissions to draw up a shortlist of finalists with a panel discussion to find the winner and runner-up.  

These will be announced at the 2024 NFAN Awards Gala Dinner in January. 

In no more than 500 words describe your green journey in the space below, showcasing a clear commitment to reducing your impact on the environment. This can include details of any measures already in place, such as reduction of waste to landfill, composting on-site, tracking enery and promoting alternative energy sources. The impact these measures have had and what you hope to achieve in the longer term. How you share and engage your team in your green commitment and how you communicate it to visitors.  

  

 

Attach up to 10 photographs relevant to your entry. 

Photographs need to be high resolution and in a jpg or png format. 

Any credits must be clearly marked. 

Show us your focus on sustainability with a short 30 second video outlining why your attraction deserves to win this award. 

The video can be filmed on a smartphone or tablet, preferably in landscape and sent via a YouTube, Vimeo link or WeTransfer. 

Please note: If your entry is shortlisted, this video will be shown at the Awards Gala Dinner in January.
