Terms & Conditions
A rally is not a race. Island Cruising & Down Under Rally provides information to help you get prepared to go offshore along with all the other rally inclusions. Undertaking an offshore passage and navigating in the South Pacific comes with risks. You can expect to encounter challenging weather conditions and poorly charted areas. The safety of the vessel and her crew is the sole and inescapable responsibility of the skipper. She/he must do their best to ensure the yacht is seaworthy, fully equipped with the Cat 1 safety equipment, and manned with experienced crew who are physically fit to face bad weather and who know where the safety gear is kept and how it is used. The skipper must be satisfied as to the soundness of the hull, spars, rigging, sails and that all the safety gear on board is properly maintained and stowed. It is the exclusive responsibility of the skipper to decide whether to set out on a voyage, to participate in any rally activities or to continue in the advent of adverse weather. A non-refundable deposit of $500 will secure your place on the rally with the balance due eight weeks prior to departure. If anything prevents you from going on the rally including COVID border closures or anything else then you can transfer your payments to another rally.
