  • The goal of the YF&R Committee is to provide opportunities and experiences for learning, leadership growth, and meaningful advocacy that can truly elevate our farming and ranching community.

    General Qualifications

    A member of the Young Farmers and Ranchers should:

    • Be a Farm Bureau member ages 18-35.
    • Have an active interest in production agriculture.
    • Understand the needs of and opportunities for young producers and leaders.

    Being nominated to serve on the Young Farmers and Ranchers (YF&R) Committee is a significant opportunity for young agricultural leaders to grow, learn, and bring back valuable experience to their local communities. This nomination is an investment in the future of agriculture, as individuals return from their service with enhanced skills, a deeper understanding of agricultural issues, and a passion for contributing locally. The support from the County Farm Bureau is not only essential but also mutually beneficial, ensuring the continued growth and success of both the organization and the broader agricultural community.

    If the applicant is not already deeply involved in the County Farm Bureau, their experience on the YF&R Committee will prepare them to take on more active roles. They will be ready to support the work of the County Farm Bureau and serve as a bridge between the Farm Bureau and the younger generation of farmers and ranchers.
