Salary: Monthly salary starting at 50K PHP or higher, depending on experience and qualifications.

About This Job:
Are you a skilled WordPress Developer who can work both behind the scenes and on the front lines? We’re looking for a tech-savvy problem solver to join our growing team at NowStaff Virtual Assistance Services. You’ll help us build and maintain WordPress sites from the ground up—whether it's launching a brand-new site or diving into server-level troubleshooting.
This is a remote, full-time opportunity ideal for someone based in the Philippines who can work independently and communicate clearly with U.S.-based clients and team members.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Set up and configure new WordPress websites from scratch
- Develop custom themes and plugins based on client requirements
- Troubleshoot and resolve WordPress issues (both frontend and backend)
- Manage servers via the command line (Linux-based)
- Optimize site performance, security, and scalability
- Collaborate with designers, content creators, and other developers
Must-Have Skills & Experience:
Back-End:
- Strong experience with Linux-based servers and bash scripting
- Comfort working in the command line/terminal
- Knowledge of Apache, PHP, and MySQL/MariaDB
- Ability to configure and maintain WordPress hosting environments
Front-End:
- Skilled at setting up and customizing new WordPress installations
- Proficient in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and WordPress templating
- Experience developing responsive, user-friendly websites
- Familiarity with page builders (e.g., Elementor, WPBakery) and theme frameworks
Bonus Points For:
- Familiarity with Git version control
- Knowledge of NGINX or other web servers
- Understanding of security best practices for WordPress
- Experience working with APIs and third-party integrations
- Prior agency or freelance experience with multiple clients
- Ability to write clear documentation and client handoff notes
Working Hours:
- Must be available during some U.S. business hours for team collaboration and client communication
