Preceptor Eligibility:
In order to apply for the preceptorship grant program through the Arizona Medical Association you must be an allopathic physician (MD) licensed pursuant to Arizona Revised Statutes, Title 32, and in good standing. Additionally, you must:
- Provide an uncompensated mentoring experience.
- Serve as a volunteer preceptor for an Arizona medical student.
- Precept a training at least four weeks in duration, occurring on or after July 1, 2023. The training must have concluded in order to apply for the grant.
If you have already been awarded a grant for the 22-23 academic year (July 1, 2022 - June 30, 2023), you could be eligible for a second year of funding if the preceptorship BEGINS after July 1, 2023, is at least 4 weeks long, and concludes before you submit your application.
