  • Absences

  • ONE pre-planned absence is allowed. Please note any such date below. Write "none" if none planned. Illness is an acceptable reason for additional or unplanned absences. However, because each player is the ONLY ONE playing his/her part, such absences need to be communicated ASAP, at least 48 hours or more in advance if possible, as each chamber position needs to be covered!

  • Music preparation

  • The coaches will meet a few weeks before your session starts, to decide on groups and choose music. We'll email you your music (your part and the score) as soon as it's chosen (we aim for 2 weeks before the session starts). You'll be expected to learn your part with the help of your teacher before the first rehearsal. (If you will be away the 2 weeks before the first rehearsal and practicing will be a problem, let us know so we can give you a part that isn't too hard to learn quickly.)

  • Agreement: I will know my own part before the first rehearsal, and be prepared to put it together with the other parts in my group.

OR: I won't be able to practice my piece the 2 weeks before. I'll send an email with more details to paloaltoschoolofchambermusic@gmail.com

NOTE - for Chamber Music, you will be the only person playing your part, so you need to commit to learning it and being there to play it.
