In order to ensure your tattoo experience is as comfortable and successful as possible please follow the following tips. Please make sure you understand the process of hand poke/machine free tattooing and that you are happy with the design. If you have any further enquiries please do reach out to me. I look forward to adding to your beauty.
PREPARE YOUR BODY
Tattoos are physical so make sure your body is physically ready.
- Get enough sleep the night before your appointment
- Make sure that you wear something comfortable and that the tattoo placement is easily accessible
- Bring warm or cool clothes depending on the weather
- Make sure you arrive fed and hydrated, and bring snacks if you feel you may need them
- Don’t drink alcohol or caffeine for 24 hours prior to your tattoo. It thins your blood and increases your risk of infection and fading of the tattoo
PREPARE YOUR SKIN
The best way for you to ensure the tattoo goes smoothly is to give your artist the best canvas.
- Avoid fake tan or sunbeds. We can't tattoo over sunburn, and fake tan affects our ability to get a smooth shade.
- Make sure your skin is moisturised. We can’t tattoo over dry or flakey skin. If you have eczema or psoriasis flare up, it's best to wait for it to calm down and rebook. Most artists will be very understanding if you give them notice and explain.
- Make sure your skin is clean and free of any perfumes, creams or oils.
PREPARE YOUR MIND
Depending on your chosen design, tattoo sessions can be long and painful.
- Bring entertainment. We are more than happy for you to listen to music, watch something or read. It can help to distract from the pain and makes longer sessions pass a little faster.
- Most importantly, communicate with our artist. Let us know if you are feeling nervous or unwell - it's our job to make you comfortable.
