    2018 Four Reasons Blanc de Blanc - Locally owned but produced in Carneros, Napa, this crisp, brite sparkler is just what you need, even if you don't know it! (yet)   This wine is available at the Houston Country Club.

    2023 Mellizos 'Rexilius' Malbec - Locally owned by Houstonains who are very involved with the winemaking.  The wine is on the wine list at Musaafer and Nobies.

    2020 Kosta Brown 'Cerise' Pinot Noir. 92 Points from the Wine Spectator 94 Points from The Wine Enthusiast and James Suckling / 95 points from Jeb Dunnuck, who said it "... pours a rich ruby hue and reveals aromas of anise, red cherry, and pine. Medium-bodied, with fine tannins and ripe notes of cranberry cocktail, clove, and orange peel."

    2022 Ch d'Issan. "This is really luxurious, showing blackcurrants and orange peel with cedar and dried-mushroom aromas following through to a medium to full body that grows on the palate. This has crunchy and lightly chewy tannins that are slightly austere but in an elegant, classical Bordeaux way. Chewy at the end. So much energy and vibe. So complex. Probably the greatest wine ever from here. A blend of 65% cabernet sauvignon, 30% merlot, 2% cabernet franc, 2% malbec and 1% petit verdot. Best after 2028 but already a joy to taste. 98 Points!" ~ James Suckling $99 ea

    2017 Laurent Ponsot Corton-Charlemagne. In 775 Emperor Charlemagne donated this vineyard to a Catholic institution in Saulieu, which kept it for the next 1000 years! Perched on a hill, it’s the only grand cru that receives sunlight from morning to night. From Ladoix-Serrigny in the east, to Aloxe-Corton in the south, and extending to Pernand-Vergelesses in the west, Corton Charlemagne spreads over 52 hectares. Laurent Ponsot SAS sources its grapes from these three villages via six different producers, making a wine representative of the appellation whose richness is derived from its diversity. The wines are finely chiselled, precise, and rich with the scent of flowers and minerals. Match with fish, shellfish or a cheese platter to perfectly showcase their qualities.

Durant Vineyards is a small operation that has been farming Pinot noir grapes in the Dundee Hills since 1973. They are a small enough operation that their wines are nearly all sold Direct to Consumer through their tasting room and wine club. It has already absorbed almost all of the overtly woody notes from 100% new French oak and offers impactful blackberry and Bing cherry fruit with good tannic structure but no excess astringency. Seriously impressive. ~ The Tasting Panel ...and this is a seriously impressive price, too!
