Mifflin County Library Prospective Board of Directors Application:
Thank you for showing interest in joining the Mifflin County Library (MCL) Board of Directors. Our Board is tasked with placing the library strategically in the community. To become a board member, the current board votes whether or not to accept you. If accepted, your name will be given to the County Commissioners (or perhaps to Lewistown Borough Supervisors) for final approval. The County Commissioners appoint 8 board members and the Lewistown Borough Supervisors appoint 1.

Note that the Board meets on the third Tuesday of every month (except July) at 5:15pm. Board members are asked to actively participate in board meetings, willingly ask questions, and consider giving a financial gift to the library annually.
