The Six Books Scholarship is intended to encourage educational attainment with a holistic view of the nature of being a student. This scholarship will be for any academic-related expense to help undergraduate or graduate members defray the overlooked costs associated with academic success. Awards are allocated on a rolling basis until all funds are distributed.
Eligibility & Award Criteria
Scholarships are available to initiated members of Sigma Lambda Gamma, are enrolled in an accredited degree-granting institution as a degree-seeking student during the 2025-2026 academic year, and demonstrated community service and involvement.
Application Materials
- Personal Statement - In no more than 400 words, provide a personal statement that gives insights into who you are, what you like to do, and why this scholarship will help you. This will assist the selection committee in getting to know you and consider you a qualified applicant for a Sigma Lambda Gamma Education Foundation Scholarship.
- Resume - Please submit a resume or curriculum vitae, including employment history. Make sure you include all your leadership positions, special honors, and community, volunteer, and campus activities.
- One Letter of Recommendation - One letter of recommendation is required to be considered a complete application.
- Transcript - One unofficial transcript from each undergraduate or graduate institution you have attended is required.
