• Junior Representative Coaches EOI

    26/27 Junior Rep season incorporating 2026 State Champs, 2027 Country Champs and 2027 WABL.
  • The 2026/2027 Junior Representative Season will include:

    • 2026 State Championships
    • 2027 Country Championships
    • 2027 WABL Season

     This year will also include an additional staged selection process to support athlete development and ensure the most appropriate team selections, consisting of:

    1. Stage 1 - Open Trials (For all Domestic and non-Magic WABL athletes)
    2. Stage 2 - Invite Only trials (For current 2026 Magic WABL athletes & successful triallists from Stage 1)
    3. Stage 3 - Squad Training
    4. Stage 4 - Preliminary selections (Initial teams selected and begin training for State Champs)
    5. Stage 5 - Final team selection (Final 2027 WABL teams announced following State Championships) 

    Preliminary Coaching selections will be appointed in November.

    Final Coach and Player announcements will be made at the conclusion of State Championships.

    Pre-season Training: Sunday's

    In-Season Training Schedule:

    • U12 Teams - Monday's and Saturday's
    • U14-U20 Teams - Tuesdays and Thursdays
    • Each session includes 1 hour on court, and 30 minutes off-court (before or after court time).

  • Please note: Coaching applications will not be considered without a valid Working With Childrens Check. Application forms can be collected from the MBA Office (in the Foyer, near the Show Courts at the MARC).

  • What is your current level of Coaching accreditation?*
  • All Coaches who submit an EOI, must possess, a Participation Coach accreditation. 

    For Coaches expressing interest in Coaching a Division 1 (Red team), a Competition Coach (Level 1) accreditation is required (this is a standard set by Basketball Western Australia)

    All Coaches who are selected will also be required to complete the Safeguarding Children in Basketball online course (Free), even if they have previously completed this course in 2025/2026.
