  • Your dog's safety and comfort is our number one priority here at the Good Life. In doing so, we have the following guidelines. When you sign the bottom of this contract, you acknowledge that you have read, understand, and take responsibility for your dog.

  • If we are unable to get ahold of you or your emergency contact if a situation arises, we will treat your dog to the best of our ability and it is our sole discretion to engage the service of a veterinarian of our choosing, administer medication, which expenses shall be paid by the owner.

  • Is your dog good off leash (for example, has good recall and can take a walk not being on a leash:

  • 1. If not neutered/spayed, your dog may be placed separately from the others IF any aggression is shown. If a dog is not neutered or spayed, and marks, they will not be coming inside the house area of The Good Life. However, they will still have access to the pen and outdoor spaces.

    2. Your dog is up to date with all shots and vaccines. Please recognize that we cannot control ticks and fleas but will do our best to address the issue should it arise. Due to the social nature of how we operate our boarding service, there are some inherent risks. These risks may include, but are not limited to:

transfer of communicable diseases such as canine cough, fleas, ticks, lice, worms puppy warts, or giardia. In regards to canine cough, there are a large number of viruses or bacteria that cause upper respiratory infections in dogs, and the Bordetella vaccine only prevents some of them. We highly recommend using preventative measures like flea and tick control and deworming.

If it is of utmost importance to you that your dog(s) not acquire a communicable disease, then we suggest you not take your dog(s) to boarding places, daycares, dog parks, or any other type of environment where they may be in close contact with other dogs.

  • 3. We often take them hiking, wheeling or chasing the snow machine around the property on our trails. If a dog is not good off leash, we will keep them leashed. However, if they are a strong puller, they may have to forgo these activities. If you prefer them not to engage in these activities, inform us and we will oblige.

    4. Your dog is non-aggressive towards other dogs. If a dog is aggressive towards other dogs, they will be placed separately. If that does not work, we will contact you and you will need to arrange alternative care. Also due to the social nature of how we operate our boarding service, physical injury is a risk. These risks may include, but are not limited to: broken nails, puncture wounds, abrasions & cuts. We pay very close attention to the interactions between dogs, but sometimes accidents happen, and a dog can become injured on its own, or get injured by another dog.
