Best Retail Award

Summary

Retail has become a key area for many farm attractions whether it is a small gift shop or a larger farm shop.

This Award recognises a great retail offer with judges looking for innovation and a good customer journey.  

Open to any size or type of retail outlet, there will be a rigorous judging process to find the winner and runner-up who will be announced at the glittering NFAN Awards Gala Dinner in January 2024. 

As well as being able to display the winner's certificate, taking the accolade provides a wealth of PR and press opportunities for the business. 

 

Judging

Judges will be looking for the farm retail outlet which can demonstrate a good customer journey and well thought out retail experience.

 

Entry submissions will be judged by a panel including an industry expert and former category winners. 

 

Initial judging will review submissions to draw up a shortlist of finalists with a panel discussion to find the winner and runner-up.  

 

These will be announced at the 2024 NFAN Awards Gala Dinner in January. 

In no more than 500 words describe your retail space outlining what makes it stand out from the crowd.

Judges will be looking for a good customer journey which can include ease of shopping, ease of payment and customer service. They will be looking for a high standard of visual merchandising and presentation, including descriptive tickets and product promotion, innovative ideas, attention to detail, well thought out product offer, signage and layout. 

Outline any specific improvements made to your retail outlet over the last year. 

 

  

 

Attach up to 10 photographs relevant to your entry. 

Photographs need to be high resolution and in a jpg or png format. 

Any credits must be clearly marked. 

Walk us through your retail space with a short 30 second video outlining why your attraction deserves to win this award. Please include the entrance and signage as well as any members of your team. 

The video can be filmed on a smartphone or tablet, preferably in landscape and sent via a YouTube, Vimeo link or WeTransfer. 

Please note: If your entry is shortlisted, this video will be shown at the Awards Gala Dinner in January.
