Printing Policies and Guidelines
The poster printer is capable of printing posters and banners on glossy paper. We will do our best to accommodate your requests and specifications, but we cannot guarantee a particular level of precision or customization. Please note: In the guidelines below, “file size” refers to the digital file size (e.g. 100 MB, 1 GB, etc.), while “dimensions” refers to the physical size of the final print.
About your submission
- Print requests cost $2.50/square foot.
- Files should be in JPG, JPEG, PNG, or PDF formats (.jpg, .jpeg, .png, or .pdf).
- The dimensions of the print must be between 11 by 17 inches (minimum) and 24 by 72 inches (maximum).
- Submission files must have a minimum resolution of 512 by 512 pixels or 300 dpi.
Printing & pickup
- Please allow at least one business day for your item to be printed. Items may take longer than one day depending on the number of requests received.
- We will email you when your print is complete.
- Completed items can be picked up at the front desk. When you arrive, please let staff know your name and that you have received a pickup confirmation email. Staff will then retrieve your print request from a staff area.
- Items will be kept for one week after we notify you they are ready.
Additional limits & restrictions
- The library reserves the right to refuse any poster print request.
- The library’s poster printer may not be used to create materials that:
- Are prohibited by local, state, or federal law.
- Are unsafe, harmful, dangerous, or that pose an immediate threat to the well-being of others.
- Are offensive or inappropriate for the library environment in accordance with library policies.
- Violate another person’s property rights. For example, the printer will not be used to reproduce objects or materials that are subject to copyright, patent, or trademark protection.
