Are you looking for an enriching experience for your children, where they can enjoy the outdoors, engage with animals, and learn about life on the farm?
At Lil' Bit of Life, we offer farm life adventures and educational activities for children aged 5-15.
It’s "farm school," where agriculture, animals, nature, and education combine to provide a memorable experience for kids.
Once they put their backpacks away, the farmers should come dressed in comfy clothes; closed-toed shoes can be crocs, tennis shoes, or boots.
Farmschool activities start with the Pledge of Allegiance, going over rules for safety, and writing our to-do list on our chalkboard.
Farm chores are part of our morning and afternoon routine. Their duties range from feeding and watering the menagerie of animals, including grooming horses, learning barn chores, cleaning stalls, petting the rabbits, or running around with the goats, baking, interactive games, and more.
No matter the season, rain or shine, the farmers and their teachers are outdoors. We have a clubhouse if the weather is thundering and lightning.
"Outside play is therapy for many kids because they don’t get enough outside time.”
Farm animals require responsibility and daily routine, which are important skills for children to learn. Children will also learn about care, compassion, and leadership, develop motor skills, and teamwork abilities. It’s safe to say the kids play hard AND work hard while they’re at Lil’ Bit of Life Farm School!
Important rules/information for students:
• Please understand, this is our home and our animals. We have rules the students will learn when coming to the farm. These rules are for our animals and your child's safety.
• We ask for safety reasons that only mature 5-15 year-olds can participate in farm-school.
• To farm school, please wear close-toed shoes and comfortable clothing.
• Bring lots of water & bug spray is a good idea if you're prone to bug bites.
• If you are scheduled for the morning class, it ends at 12 pm.
• As a courtesy for those that stay for both classes, you may bring your lunch and have an hour break.
Because farm-school does have a maximum of 15 students (and can even have a waiting-list), for any cancellations please consider your payment a donation; there will be a NON-REFUNDABLE AND NON-TRANSFERABLE policy.
