ANNUAL TUITION & FEES

Fees will vary depending on number, length and type of classes selected. Please have a look at the price list below however we ask that you you please wait for your official confirmation and invoice so that you can see your exact schedule and fees.  

Monthly payments are availabe by post-dated cheque only. Single instalments can be paid by cash, cheque or E-Transfer. Credit Card payments are invoiced through PayPal (3% service fee). 

Performance Class Tuition is as follows:

45Min Non-Competitive Classes- $585.00 Annually ($65.00/mo) plus taxes

60Min Non-Competitive Classs- $675.00 Annually ($75.00/mo) plus taxes

60Min Competitive/Company Classes- $720.00 ($80.00/mo) plus taxes

Payment Schedule - the total cost of the full season performance program is divided into 9 even Monthly Payments. September to May. Due by the 15th of each month.

*For dancers registering for a single semester, multiply the monthly fee by 4 months for semester 1(Sept-Dec) and by 5 months for semester 2(Jan-May).

Other Costs to consider:

Annual Registration Fee: $35.00 per student/family (if you are in more than one group, you only pay this once). This cost includes all administration costs associated with the school.

Performance Fee: $10.00 per student per semester. We offer Two major showcases (recitals) per season -dancers perform a new routine each semester on Dec 13th and May 9th, 2026. We love providing more performance opportunities however the expenses can really add up. Rather than charging a large fee for year end videos, we ask all dancers pay one low fee up front and all dancers automatically receive digital copies of all their showcase performances.

A costume deposit is required for each semester- $75 per performance group ($100 per competitive team). This fee is only a deposit and there may be additional shipping and costume fees that must be paid before the show

Both registration and costume fees are due at the time of registration and are non-refundable.

Competitive Teams are required to pay entry fees for maximum of 3 competitions. Group entries per season- an average of $30-50/dancer per group. The fees will be confirmed in the fall and due by November 1st.

Early Registration Bonus: Register & Pay for the full season by one instalment before August 1st, 2025 and we will waive your $35.00 registration fee! Register & Pay for the first semester in one inslamnet before August 1st, 2025 and we will waive your $10.00 performance fee.

Single Instalment Discount:  If paying for the FULL season in ONE instalment before September 1st (by cash, cheque or E-transfer only), there is a 5% discount on your tuition before taxes. And YES...if you register before August 1st, you get your reg fee waived as well! ;)

Mult-Class Discounts: We offer discounts to students taking more than one performance class per semester to support those wanting to increase their level and range of training.

Important Reminder: We are registered for auto-deposit, so please do not send E-Transfers until your registration is received and amounts have been confirmed. (If any fee reversals are required, you will be responsible to cover the costs.)

 TERMS & CONDITIONS 

We do not offer refunds or credits once a class has started. Your cancellation must be submitted in writing 2 weeks prior to the start of the semester (Sept 1, Jan 1) to receive a 50% refund for that semester. After 2 weeks prior to the semester, there are no refunds or credits given for any reason and you will be responsible to pay out the contract if you are paying in instalments. 

A $25.00 late fee will be added to accounts on the 10th of each month if tuition has not yet been paid. A $35.00 NSF fee will be charged on any returned cheque. If a client has 2 NSF cheques, we will no longer accept this form of payment and their account must be paid in full by an alternate method in order to continue classes. Accounts that are 30 Days or more in arrears will result in dance services being with-held. Dancers are still requested to attend classes, but will be asked to sit and watch until the account is brought up to date. If students are more than 2 months behind on tuition, they will not be able to participate in the class. 

We require a minimum of 7 participants to run a class. If low enroment occurs, registered students will be notified 24hrs in advance and given a full refund or the option to switch classes.

In the event that the government regulations require our host facility (Second Act Studios) to cease in person operations, all def SOL classes will be moved online via Zoom for a MAXIMUM of 4 weeks. After the 4 weeks, refunds/credits will be given to those who paid for the season in full. 

All choreography offered is copyright to def SOL Productions and their instructors and may not be used without permission. This includes videotaping at events and lessons and performing the choreography outside of def SOL Productions events. 

STUDENT/PARENT AGREEMENT

I can fully commit to my registered performance classes for the full season/semester. I agree to attend all assigned practices in addition to extra practice times or rehearsals and will be available for any showcases and performances listed for my group(s). I understand that if I am absent for more than 2 practices per semester, or habitually late to class, my place in the team will be reevaluluated and I may be asked to leave the team and/or unable to perform.

I am fully aware of my class fees and will submit my payment(s) on time. I understand that there may be additional costume fees or competition fees (if applicable), to be paid later in the semester or season. I agree to pay these extra expenses in a timely manner. I agree to show up with a positive, respectful attitude to each class and event and have an exceptional amount of fun!

LIABILITY WAIVER

I, the prospective client, being 18years of age or older, understand that def SOL Productions, the hosting facility and the instructors thereof are not liable for personal injuries or loss of, or damage to personal property. I understand that participating in dance classes involves the possibility of physical injury. I therefore assume all risks involved in the pariticipation of def SOL classes. I hereby release def SOL Productions and staff from any liability with respect to damage or injury that I or my participating minor child may suffer during physical activity except where the damage or injury is caused by gross or willful negligence of the staff witihin the scope of their duties. 

MEDIA RELEASE

I hereby grant full permission to def SOL Productions to use any photographs, motion pictures, videotapes, recordings or any other record of my participating in dance, or any other related studio activities for any purpose including, without limitation, commercial use.

The law that governs this Agreement shall be the law of Saskatchewan, Canada. I hereby affirm that I am eighteen (18) years of age or older, I have read this document, and I understand its contents. I acknowledge that I am signing this waiver voluntarily and that if I am under the age of eighteen (18) I require parental consent.
