The following basic regulations and guidelines shall apply to the use of the facility:
- Fire district functions shall pre-empt all other usage. There is a maximum of 60 occupants.
- Organizations or individuals using the facility shall accept full responsibility for any damage to the facility, grounds, property, or equipment, and shall reimburse the fire district for any damage.
- Signed contract and payment must be received within 1 week of booking to hold reservation.
- The group or individuals agree to clean up the areas of the facility that were utilized during the event, remove all trash, and shall restore all equipment / furniture to its original arrangement and location.
- Smoking or the use of tobacco products and drugs/alcoholic beverages are not permitted in any area of the facility.
- The fire district reserves the right to cancel, even upon short notice, any meeting or activity.
- Adult supervision is required at all times when minors are on the property. This includes both inside and outside the facility.
- Glitter, confetti and taping or tacking of decorations to the walls or ceiling is not permitted.
- No parking on the grass, or the apparatus bay side of the building, this is for firefighters to make emergency runs. Parking on blacktop only.
- Meetings or activities must be concluded and the facility vacated no later than 10:00 p.m.
- Please provide own utensils, pots, pans, cookie sheets, plates & cups.
- There will be no access to the apparatus bay and/or related areas.
- No use of fire district audio visual equipment without staff oversight.
- Ballardsville Fire Protection District reserves the right to restrict usage of the facility or otherwise deny use of the facility to those groups whose mission, function, or efforts may be deemed questionable, inappropriate, or against the policies of said fire district.
- Groups or individuals using the facility agree to protect and indemnify for costs, legal and other expenses, the fire district, its board of trustee members, officers, and agents from all claims, liabilities or suits related to using or arising from acts or omissions of such groups or individuals in connection with the use of the facility.
- Violation of these policies governing use of the facility, creation of a disturbance, or willful damage will cause cancellation of the privilege for further use of the facility. Any willful damage may result in civil or criminal remedies being pursued.
