The club recognises the need to ensure the welfare and safety of all young people in basketball. In accordance with the club and Basketball England policy, where possible we will not permit photographs, film, video or other images of children or to be taken or used without the consent of the child and their parents/guardians.

We will follow the guidance for the use of photographic and recorded images of children, a copy of which is in the Basketball England Safeguarding Policy. If at any time either the parent/guardian or the young person wishes their image to be removed from a website or future publications, this should be communicated in writing to the Club Welfare Officer or Club Secretary.

The club will take all steps to ensure these images are used solely for the purposes they are intended. Where the club has obtained parental and player consent, the club may give permission to the opposition to take images during a game. If you become aware that these images are being used inappropriately you should inform the club immediately

- I understand that the team staff have a common law duty to act in the capacity of a reasonably prudent parent.
- I agree to my child receiving medication as instructed and any emergency dental, medical or surgical treatment, as considered necessary by the medical authorities present.
- I give permission that if I and the emergency contact can’t be reached, a member of team staff can give any necessary immediate authority for any medical treatment where a delay could be contrary to my child’s wellbeing.
- I give permission for transport and photography of my child, as outlined above.
- I acknowledge that the club will be liable in the event of any accident, loss or injury only if they have failed to take reasonable steps in their duty of care for my child.
- I have read and agree to the club policies and procedures.
- I have read and agree that my child should abide by the club and Basketball England’s Code of Ethics and Conduct.
- Inline with the new GDPR I give permission to Eastbourne Neptunes Basketball Club to keep the details contained within this form on file. Eastbourne Neptunes Basketball Club will use this information to keep me informed of relevant basketball information via email, text, letter or social media. Upon completion you will be entered into a group(s) designated for all information regarding your child(ren) and their team(s) or training groups.
Club and members rules

You wish to play basketball within EASTBOURNE NEPTUNES BASKETBALL CLUB. In exchange for the privilege of being a member of the Club, You agree to the following:

1. Attend training on time or communicate in advance if I cannot do so.

2. Train with a positive, solutions based attitude and push myself to be the best I can be.

3. All members and associates are to treat teammates, coaches, opponents and fans of both teams with the utmost respect and courtesy at all times. Behaviour that is disrespectful to either players or coaches, or demonstrates a lack of self-control will not be tolerated and may result in expulsion from the Club.

4. If I have at any time, any issues relating to the team or Club, I will discuss them with the Coach in the first instance, with the aim to achieve a speedy resolution.

5. To pay my subscription on a monthly basis by Standing Order. Any member who fails to meet monthly payments or gets in to arrears, will forfeit their right to play or train. Should any Club member, get in to financial difficulties, please discuss with a coach or staff member as soon as possible to allow for a suitable resolution to be attained.

We, the Coaches, agree to the following:

1. Plan and prepare training sessions and games with purpose and a focus on individual and team development.

2. We will remain fair in our decisons, allowing players to have equal opoortunity to earn playing time and responsibility on the court.

3. To lead the way as positive examples of sportsmanship, leadership and communication.

4. Listen to any feedback players may have and respond fairly and with respect.
Membership fees 24/25

Each season all members will incur a one off fee of £25.00 which must be paid when completing this form.

The fee will cover; Club fees, club insurances etc. and will include a member tee shirt to be recieved within 2-3 weeks of signup.

Junior Team Players & Development Squad

Monthly subs for players selected for weekly development sessions are listed below are due on the 1st of every calendar month by setting up a regular standing order/Direct Debit. If you have siblings also playing with this club then the sibling will pay a reduced fee per calendar month, please let the club know to ensure a siblings discount is given.

Junior Team Players: £55 per month
Development Squad: £25 per month

Note: These fees are essential for the club to operate. Cancellations of arranged direct debits could mean the club failing to have financial sustainability and ultimitely without this the club would simply cease to exist. We will always endevour to go above and beyond to deliver value for money with your childs basketball provision and are always open to discussion as required, thank you.
