  • Uptown People's Survey

  • The purpose of the Uptown People's Survey is to gather input from community members on what are the issues that most affect the community. Following this community outreach, we will compile all the data from the surveys and work with members of our co-governance committees to create a District 10 Action Plan.

In addition to the community survey, we will be organizing a People's Assembly later this year to engage more community members in the creation of this action plan.

Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts. Together we can build a more inclusive and engaged community.

  • Co-Governance: A model that encourages public participation in governing and empowers residents to be engaged, involved, and, often, act as decision-makers in their communities. This process aims to create a more inclusive government and increase civic engagement.

  • Housing Justice: Ensuring everyone has affordable housing that promotes health and well-being, by confronting historical and ongoing disparities caused by structural racism and other systems of oppression.

  • Environmental Justice: Environmental Justice is the fair treatment and meaningful involvement of all people regardless of race, color, national origin, or income, with respect to environmental laws, regulations and policies.

  • Education & Youth Justice: A society where communities and schools are safe, restorative, healing environments and all young people have the opportunity to learn and grow. Education justice means that schools value and respect the dignity of students, workers, and their communities.

  • Health Equity: When all communities are provided a fair opportunity to attain their highest level of health. This requires addressing economic, social, and other obstacles to health and health care; and eliminating preventable health disparities.

  • Thank you for participating in our Uptown People's Survey!

Sharing the demographic information below is optional, but will give us a deeper understanding of the information we collect through these surveys.

If you provide your email, phone number, or mailing address, we will add you to our mailing list to receive district updates and the next steps on our co-governance work.

Furthermore, if you would like to share your feedback on the affordability of rental units in the community, you can participate in this anonymous survey. This is the link; Council District 10: Housing AMI Survey English/Spanish
