• How do the heating oil payment plans work for homes?

    • Simply complete the application form below.
    • Choose your monthly Direct Debit amount (minimum £50) and the date you'd like your payment to be collected (between the 1st and 27th of each month).
    • Once your plan is set up, your agreed payment will be collected automatically each month by Direct Debit.
    • Rix Payment Plan: When placing your first heating oil order, you'll need to pay 50% of the order value upfront. The remaining balance will be added to your account and your monthly Direct Debit payments will continue as agreed. Once your plan is set up and your first Direct Debit has been received, you can order online or by calling our sales team.
    • Rix Pre-Payment Plan: Your monthly payments build up a balance on your account, which you can use towards heating oil orders. If your balance doesn't cover the full order value, you simply pay the difference when placing your order. You can order online or by calling our sales team.

  • The Direct Debit Gurantee
     

    1. The Guarantee is offered by all banks and building societies that accept instructions to pay Direct Debits
    2. If there are any changes to the amount, date or frequency of your Direct Debit the organisation will notify you (normally 10 working days) in advance of your account being debited or as otherwise agreed. If you request the organisation to collect a payment, confirmation of the amount and date will be given to you at the time of the request
    3. If an error is made in the payment of your Direct Debit, by the organisation or your bank or building society, you are entitled to a full and immediate refund of the amount paid from your bank or building society If you receive a refund you are not entitled to, you must pay it back when the organisation asks you to
    4. You can cancel a Direct Debit at any time by simply contacting your bank or building society. Written confirmation may be required. Please also notify the organisation.

    The Rix Payment Plan is available subject to a soft credit check. If your application is not approved, we will offer a Pre-Payment option instead.

    The Rix Petroleum Pre-Payment Plan is available to all customers and does not require a credit check.

    A minimum monthly payment of £50 is required.

    Under the Rix Payment Plan, your order value cannot exceed four times your agreed monthly payment (for example, £100 per month = £400 order limit).

    If you exceed your order limit, we will contact you to arrange one of the following:

      • An increase to your monthly payment

      • A lump sum payment towards your account

      • A reduction in order volume (minimum order: 500 litres)

      • Or a combination of these options

    Providing false information in order to obtain credit may constitute an offence.

    When ordering under the Rix Pre-Payment Plan, if your account balance does not cover the full order value, the outstanding amount must be paid at the time of ordering.

    If your Direct Debit is cancelled at any time, any outstanding balance will become due for payment in full immediately. All Direct Debits are covered by the Direct Debit Guarantee.

    Priority delivery is subject to operational availability and cannot be guaranteed.
