    For the best outcome, contact the laboratory to discuss collection of samples, amounts required, and proper storage.

    PLEASE CLEARLY LABEL ALL SAMPLES ON SAMPLE BAGS.

     

    Getting Samples to the Laboratory

    Samples are received at the lab Monday - Thursday, 10 AM - 6 PM, and Friday, 10 AM - 5
    PM. The laboratory is closed on Saturday and Sunday and cannot receive samples during the
    weekend. Samples are also collected from the airport(s) in Anchorage on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday each week.

     

    Payment

    Cash, check, and credit card (Visa, Mastercard, and Discover) are accepted. Contracted
    companies may be invoiced per contract.

     

    Receiving Results

    With the exception of heterotrophic bacteria and total yeast/mold counts, which result in 48-
    72 hours, results may be expected in 24-36 hours.

    Provide information about the samples you will be submitting and the requested tests.
  • PLEASE CLEARLY LABEL ALL SAMPLES ON SAMPLE BAGS.

    • Food Samples 
    • A minimum of 100 grams of food product is required per sample

    • Tests Required

    • Environmental Swabs 
    • A minimum of 1 swab required per sample. Rehydration media must be compatible with testing method. Please call to confirm acceptable types.

    • Tests Required

    • Water Samples 
    • 2 x 100 mL quantities required per sample. Sample containers must be sterile. Contact the laboratory if sterile cups are needed.
