Park Shin-ja Cup International Women's Basketball Opens on August 26...10 teams from 4 countries
The 2023 Woori Bank Park Shin-ja Cup International Women's Basketball Tournament will be held at Cheongju Gymnasium in North Chungcheong Province from August 26 to September 3.
The Korea Women's Basketball Federation and WKBL announced in a press release, "This year's Park Shin-ja Cup will feature 10 teams from four countries, including Japan, Australia, and the Philippines," adding, "Since the establishment of the Park Shin-ja Cup in 2015, the most foreign teams will come out."
The foreign teams that will compete with the six WKBL clubs are four teams: Eneos, who has won the W-League for 11 consecutive years, Toyota, last season's runner-up, Bendigo, Australia's WNBL, and the Philippine national team.
The competition was held under the name of the "Park Shin-ja Cup Summer League" until last year as a stage to find promising players, and it was decided to be held in the form of an international competition in which key players participate.
The competition will be held by dividing 10 teams into two groups and reaching the semifinals up to the second place in the group. 스포츠토토
