Community Advisor Application

This form is to be submitted no later than January 31, 2024. Please note that you have to meet the following criteria to become a CA:

• You must be in good standing with the university, meaning that you cannot be on any form of probation.
• You must have a 2.50 cumulative Grade Point Average
• You must have achieved a Grade Point Average of 2.00 for Fall 2023.
• You must have on campus or lived in a group living situation for two semesters counting Spring 2024. (this is living in a UCM residence hall/apartment, but can include military/camp and other group living arrangement).
• You must have achieved 24 credit hours earned before the end of Spring 2024.

To complete your application, you will need to provide the email addresses for two references.  One reference should be your current Community Advisor, and the second reference may be a different Housing staff member (OA, CA, A/RHD, etc.) or previous supervisor.  Please have this information available before beginning your application.

The reference form will automatically be emailed to your references upon submission of this application, from University Housing. These individuals will be answering questions about your qualities and ability to be a Community Advisor, so please choose individuals that know you well.

This application will not be considered until two reference forms, the job placement form, and the completed application have been submitted.  Please remind your selected references to complete the reference form.

Attending interview day is required to continue in the Community Advisor hiring process.  Very few exceptions will be made.  If you are unable to attend either session due to a university function or other reason, please email nordyke@ucmo.edu

If interview both timeslots are unavailable, that means all interview day appointments have been filled.  Applicants will be placed on a waitlist for the February 10th interview day while an additional day is scheduled, if needed.  More information will be sent to waitlisted candidates as soon as possible.
