At Beacon College, we value "Experiential Learning" in all academic settings both on and off campus. Experiential Learning encourages students to leverage real-world, practical experiences that can support their short and long-term career goals. These opportunities include internships, job shadowing, apprenticeships, specific part-time jobs or volunteer work related to your major, minor or career goals.
Directions:
Step 1: Student will complete this form prior to starting any experiential learning opportunity you wish to use towards your minimum 120 hour (80 hours for students enrolled as of spring 2026 and earlier) experiential learning ("internship") graduation requirement.
Step 2: After submission, your Career Advisor will reach out to you within 48 business hours via email or to schedule a Pre-Approval Appointment at the Career Center.
Reminder: Submitting this form does NOT automatically approve your Experiential Learning opportunity. Only your Career Advisor can approve your application. Pre-Approval Appointments can be made year-round as opportunities arise on Handshake.
