  • Everyone is welcome to inquire regarding using our facility however do ask everyone who does utilize our building to respect our Christan values and commitment.

    The Elders have oversight of all building use. Church staff manages all day-day operations

     

  • Reservation Policy

    • Event dates may be reserved up to 6 months in advance.
    • Please note that other events may occur simultaneously in the building. We ask that all groups respectfully share the facility.
    • While rare, your reservation may be rescheduled due to the needs of Chapel by the Lake's congregation. If this occurs, we will notify you as early as possible and work to make appropriate arrangements.
    • Facility use requests are welcome from groups whose activities align with our mission and promote the public good.
  • How to Reserve Your Overnight Stay

    1. Complete and submit the Overnight Facility Use Form to the Chapel by the Lake main office.
    2. The Administrator will review your request and may reach out with additional questions or clarifications.
    3. The Administrator will check the facility calendar for availability.
    4. If your request is approved, you will receive a confirmation email with the details of your stay, along with an information packet. 
    • Facility Use Guidelines and Expectations 
    • General Facility Use Expectations

      • Sanctuary and Log Chapel are dedicated worship spaces. No adjustments to their setup (pulpit, communion table, pews, instruments, etc.) are allowed without prior approval.
      •  Help us conserve energy by turning off lights in unoccupied spaces and ensuring exterior doors remain closed.
      • Pick up all personal items at the conclusion of your stay.
      • Clean all used spaces and dispose of trash in the dumpster located in the back parking lot.
      • The kitchen facility is available for use. A facility host will provide an orientation on proper operation.
      • The Corner Coffee Bar is included with Smith Hall reservations. This area is for serving only-no food preparation is allowed. 
      • Please ensure all spaces are returned to their original arrangement.
      • Entryways and parking areas used by your group should be kept clear and tidy.
      • No running or horseplay is allowed in the building outside of designated hospitality areas.
      • Maintain low noise levels around offices and meeting rooms, especially during business hours.
      • For activities involving children or students, designated adult supervision is required to ensure safety and proper conduct.
      • Smoking, vaping, drugs, and alcohol are strictly prohibited on campus.
    • Expectations During Your Stay

      • No alcoholic beverages are allowed on the premises.
      • Food and beverages must be served in a way that prevents spills and damage to the facility
      • Food and drink consumption is limited to Smith Hall. Food is not permitted in hospitality romms or on the kitchenett counters this is to help keep the rooms clean and prevent mice.
      • You may store food and beveragesin the kitchen refrierator/ freezer.
      • After using shwoer, remove all personal items ( clothes, towels, toiletries) from bathrooms.
      • Please hang bath mats on towl rack after shower use.
      • The Fellowhsip Hall is avialable as a common space for your group to meet or gather.
      • The Log Chapel and Sanctuary are resrved for worhsi and prayer only.
    • Facility Care & Usage Restrictions

      • Do not remove furnishings or wall-mounted materials without prior approval from the Facility Host or Administrator.
      • Activities involving water, bubbles, or paint require prior approval from the Facility Host. 
    • Key Code Policy, Security/Damage Deposit, and Facility Use Donation

      As part of your stay, the Chapel Administrator will provide your group with a unique temporary front door PIN code to access the building. This code will be active only for the duration of your approved reservation. Please make sure that the lead traveling with your group has a copy of the pin.

    • Facility Use Donation and Security & Damage Deposit

      Payment Requirements

      • All required payments (Facility Use Donation and Security & Damage Deposit) must be received prior to your event.
      • The Security & Damage Deposit is a flat fee of $500 and applies to all facility uses.
        • This is submitted by check and will be held until after your event and a facility inspection has been completed.
        • If no damage or policy violations are found, the deposit check will be either returned or securely disposed of.
        • Violations of Chapel by the Lake's Facility Use Guidelines may result in partial or full forfeiture of the deposit.
        • If your group exceeds the reserved facility usage time, additional fees may be deducted from the deposit.
      • In case of cancellation, a minimum 24-hour notice is required for a full refund of all monies paid.

       

      Facility Use Donation

      • In addition to the Security & Damage Deposit, we ask for a Facility Use Donation to support the ongoing maintenance and operations of our building.
      • Donations can be made:
        • Online HERE ( Select "Rental Income- Events" as the fund type)
        • By Check- Please make this a seperate payment from the Security & Damage Deposit

      Donation Guidelines

      Groups less than 20 people

      Includes:

      • Sleeping space in designated rooms
      • Cots and bedding will be provided ( pending availbility)*
      • Shower facilities
      • Use of the Fellowship Hall and Kitchen

       

      Groups 20-40 people

      Includes:

      • Sleeping space in designated rooms
      • Shower facilities
      • Use of Fellowship Hall and Kitchen
      • Guests should bring their own pillow, sleeping bag, and sleeping pad.

       

      * Due to group size or multiple cocurrent reservations, cots and bedding may not be available. In such cases, your group will be asked to bring your own sleeping pags, mats, pillows, and blankets. This will be communicated in your confirmation email or via direct contact from the Administrator.

      All groups or individuals using Chapel by the Lake facilities for overnight events are need to have a Certificate of Insurance (COI) on file.

      The COI must:

      • Name Chapel by the Lake as an Additional Insured for the duration of facility use.
      • Be submitted to the Chapel by the Lake office as soon as possible.
      • Schools can submit a COI once and we will keep it on file for the remainder of the school year.
