  • "And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus." (Colossians 3:17) Stewardship of our church facility reflects our desire to glorify God and serve our community with our facility.

  • Everyone who has interest in using our facility shall meet with our facility host to review usage information. We ask everyone who uses our facility to respect our Christian values and commitment. The Elders have oversight of all building use. Church staff manages all day-to-day facility usage.

    A: BUILDING RESERVATION GUIDELINES

    • Dates for events can be booked up to 6 months in advance.
    • The building may have other events taking place simultaneously.
    • We ask that all parties are respectful of each other in the use of our facility.
    • Your group may be asked to change your original date due to conflicting needs of our congregation. This is rare, and we will try to notify you as soon as possible and make appropriate arrangements.
    • The Sanctuary and Log Chapel are our places of worship. You may not change how the space is set up (pulpit, communion tables, pews, instruments, etc without prior approval.
    • Christian and community activities for the public good, which are not in conflict with our mission statement, are welcome to request facility use.

    B: GENERAL USE RULES

    • In order to be good stewards, conserve energy by ensuring lights is out in spaces you are not occupying and exterior doors are not left open.
    • Please remove all your event's accouterments.
    • Please make sure space is cleaned and trash is collected and placed in the dumpster located in the back parking lot.
    • The use of the kitchen facility is available. The facility host will familiarize you with the operation of the kitchen.
    • Use of the Corner Coffee Bar area is included in the Smith Hall space request. This space is ONLY for serving, not for food preparation.
    • Please leave all used spaces as they originally were set up.
    • Common entries and parking lots used to access event will be responsibly cleared.
    • No running or horse play inside of building outside of hospitality area.
    • Please keep volume down to reasonable level during business hours around offices and meeting
    • Responsible adult leadership must be identified to provide direction and boundaries associated with child and student activities.
    • No smoking, vaping, drugs, or alcohol on the campus.
    • Please do not remove any furnishings from rooms or materials on walls without permission from Host or Administrator.
    • Do not use staples to affix decorations to walls or wood beams. Instead use blue painters' tape on walls and wood beams
    • Plan water, bubbles, or paint events without specific permission from the facility host.

      Other limitations or guidelines may apply to your use. The facility host/administrator will advise accordingly.

  • C: WE ARE UNABLE TO

    • Offer use of A/V equipment (except in Smith Hall), copy machines, or support services.
    • Offer consumables such as kitchen paper products, condiments, coffee, or tea.

    D: DURING YOUR STAY

    • No alcoholic beverages. Food and beverages are to be served in a manner that protects the space from damage.
    • Food and beverages may only be consumed in Smith Hall.
    • Food is not allowed in hospitality rooms on the counter in the Kitchenet.
    • Food and beverages may be stored in the refrigerator in the kitchenet or in the Kitchen.
    • All clothes, towels, and toiletries but be removed from bathrooms after shower use.
    • Hang up bath mat on town rack after use.
    • Feel free to use the fellowship hall as a meeting or gathering place for group.
    • The Log Chapel and Sanctuary are for worship and prayer purposes only. 
  • F: KEY CODE POLICY AND AGREEMENT

    Aspart of your stay the Chapel Administrator will assign you a front door pin code that will allow you to access

    the building during your stay. This is a temporary code that will only be valid during the time period indicated in the facility use agreement. By signing below, you are agreeing to the following: I acknowledge that temporary door pin codes are for the use of ONLY the group assigned to that pin. It is not to be shared during your stay.

     

  • FACILITY USE RECOMMENDED DONATION and SECURITY & DAMAGE DEPOSIT

    • All monies (Donation & S&D Deposit) must be paid and processed prior to the event.
    • Security & Damage Deposit is a flat fee that applies to any and all uses.
    • Ignoring or violating any part of the CBTL Building Usage Policy 2023 may cause forfeiture of some or all of the Security & Damage deposit.
    • If the event is canceled we require a 24 hr notice and all monies will be refunded.
    • If the user exceeds the time requested on the FUA Form, additional fees will be deducted from S&D Deposit.

    Security & Damage Deposit: $500.00

    This must be received as a check and will be held till after the event and an inspection of the area takes place. If no additional fees are required the S&D check will be returned or securely disposed of.

    Facility Use Donation: Facility use donation (separate from the security & damage deposit) can be made by check or online at https://pushpay.com/g/chapelbythelake select "Rental Income-Events" as the fund type. If paying by check please write as a separate payment from security & damage deposit.

    This money goes towards the running and upkeep of the facility. We appreciate your donation. If you have any questions on the use of this money, please contact the Administrator.

    RECOMEMENDED FACILITY USE FEES*

    Groups of 20 people or less - $50/night

    Groups Larger than 20- $100/night

    *Includes rooms for groups stay, showers, and use of the fellowship hall and Kitchen.  We do have 18 beds available with pillows, sheets, and blankets. Larger groups will need to bring their own pillow, sleeping bag, and sleeping pad.
