    • Apply Online Only and in person
    • Online Application Deadline: Saturday, August 15, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. with an option to register in person Sunday, August 16th (must be present 15 minutes before event start time of 9:00 a.m. or until all applicant slots are filled.

  • By submitting your NARS application, you certify and agree to the following:

    • All clothing and accessories exhibited in the NARS must be designed and handmade by enrolled members of a U.S. federally recognized tribe.
    • Children under one (1) year of age are NOT eligible to participate.
    • Children over one (1) year of age may hold the hand of or be carried by an adult.
    • You agree to abide by all standards and policies of SWAIA and the Santa Fe Indian Market.
    • You understand that providing false information will disqualify you from future SWAIA-NARS events.

    I, the artist, will personally speak on behalf of my regalia during the on-stage presentation to share its cultural significance, craftsmanship, and design.

    The Native American Regalia Showcase requires a complete head-to-toe regalia outfit. Applications featuring partial regalia, accessories only, or incomplete outfits will not be accepted.

    Photograph and Video Release:
    I authorize the use and reproduction of any photographs or video recordings taken of me during this event, without compensation to me, by the Southwestern Association for Indian Arts (SWAIA) or anyone authorized by SWAIA. All videotapes, negatives, positives, and prints shall constitute SWAIA’s property.
