Thank you so much for your interest in joining the EmpowerED Workshop.

Participant Action Research (PAR) is a collaborative and empowering approach to research that involves individuals directly affected by particular issues. Community-based Participatory Research (CBPR) is when people, organizations, and researchers work together as a team to study and improve things that matter to their community.

PAR/CBPR Training provides individuals with the knowledge and skills to better participate in local research initiatives. Our program consists of
- Four 1/2-Day Trainings
- Graduation Day + Focus Group Discussions
- Limited to 25 participants
During the four 1/2-day trainings, participants learn to frame research questions, develop their voice, and collaborate in community-based research projects.

- Route 520 Medical Center Circular: This route serves various locations in and around the Medical Center, including major hospitals and clinics, with frequent stops along Medical Dr.
- Routes 100, 602, 603, and 605: These travel through or directly serve the Medical Center and nearby areas, and include stops within walking distance of Warm Springs Rehabilitation Hospital
