The Artists’ Co-op is looking for artists who have not shown work in any galleries
or shows to participate in our Artist Mentoring Project. The Project starts on
September 1, 2023 and culminates with a showing of mentee’s work in January
2024.
To apply for this project, the potential mentee must agree to the following:
1. Work at their art every day from September through December for a
minimum of one hour a day.
2. Meet with a mentor once a week for an hour to monitor their progress and
instruct them on procedures to promote their work and show work in a
gallery. (Location to be determined by mentor and mentee.)
3. Agree to be videotaped and interviewed during the project.
4. Produce art to be shown and prepare it for display at the gallery
5. Attend the January reception at which their art will be shown and available
for sale.
Participants will be interviewed in August at The Artist’s Co-op, 627 Mill Street,
Reno (date TBA) and five will be chosen to participate in the project.
